22,935 galaxies
All shown at their true position in space with none of this crappy, "oh sod it let's just use a few hundred template images" whining you get from those losers at the SDSS. No sir !
I think something is off with the colours though. Everything seems too yellow, especially compared to the last time I made one of these. Which is why this is just a teaser gif. More will be forthcoming when I'm happy I've sorted everything out.
Original with explanation can be found here.

Rhys Taylor I am now worried about other people getting them, and think I will hide the sau... oh, hang on...
ReplyDeleteIan Rawlings Well, Julian is nearly as amusing as sausages. The first time I saw him, ages ago, he thanked the audience for applauding him by saying "I like a nice warm hand on my entrance."
ReplyDeleteIan Rawlings Yes, the one at the Apollo that I saw was awful crap. Mostly, he's brilliant.
ReplyDeleteGalaxies are not really that close, are they?
ReplyDeleteIan Rawlings Oh, missed that. Thanx.
